A masterpiece of German cinema from 1983. A classic with which many of us began our acquaintance with world culture at the dawn of home video in the USSR. The film is based on the widely known historical fact about the sexual promiscuity of Empress Catherine the Great. The film is filled with various orgies, such as: The rite of initiation of guardsmen into the Empress's lovers; orgies in the palace after the execution of Yemelyan Pugachev; in honor of the celebration of the next anniversary of Catherine's reign; sadomasochistic scenes in the village with the participation of Pugachev's robbers and in St. Petersburg, arranged by Tsarevich Pavel; well, and the moment of Catherine's copulation with a young stallion.
